Ontario Roots.com

I was very fortunate to meet Paul McGrath of OntarioRoots.com this summer. He was very helpful to me in setting up for my presentation to researchers who attended the Ontario Day held in August by the Toronto Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. In return, I learned a lot about his work and involvement with many incredible Toronto resources: 1853 City of Toronto Tax Assessments Online, Toronto 1901 Census Street Finder, Toronto 1911 Census Street Finder, and List of Toronto Streets from 1842-1901 by ward.

Paul and his associate, Liam Coleman, have also made available a searchable database of Ontario Microfilm that includes genealogies, county atlases and church records in addition to the births, marriages and deaths to which we're all accustomed. Wherever possible, both the Archives of Ontario Reel number and LDS Reel numbers are included.
